00:00The asset disclosure case involving former Finance Minister Daim Zainuddin ended his death row last week.

00:10Raya lawyer Wan Shahruddin Wan Ladin told the Session court that the lawyer withdrew the charge under Section 36-2 of the Malaysian Corruption Prevention Act 2009.

00:24Last January, Daim pleaded not guilty to failing to comply with the asset disclosure notice issued by the SPRM.

00:34He was charged with failing to disclose the ownership of 38 companies, 19 land lots and 6 other properties.

00:42Daim was also charged with not disclosing the ownership of Berhad National Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange accounts as well as 7 luxury cars.

00:52Last night, Daim's wife said there was no need for state lawyers and the SPRM to stop the lawsuit against the former finance minister.

01:01She said it was in the interest of her late husband to continue their conversation at the Senggetamat court, no matter what happened to him.
