00:32If you don't win every game at LSU, they want you fired and thrown to alligators.

00:47Even though the SEC is super tough this year and there's going to be four teams in the

00:51Did he ever do that at Notre Dame?

00:52They are not going to be satisfied.

00:55I mean, there was a couple early years that he did, but by the time he left, he had the

01:01machine where they were winning 10 games every year at minimum.

01:04They were winning 10 games in South Bend.

01:06We've had this talk.

01:07He could have had that job for life.

01:08He would have been the head coach at Notre Dame.

01:12And now he goes 8-4 again next year.

01:14I don't think they're firing him.

01:15I think if he has another year like this next year, they're not going to have it because

01:21they didn't bring him there to go 8-4 every year.

01:23As much as that, they're not going to take 8-4.

01:31When he was at South Bend, he had it, like you said, he had the machine churning.

01:38And he had, I think, the greatest, frankly, job in college football.

01:45If you win at Notre Dame and you have the glory of old Notre Dame behind you and the

01:52South Bend faithful behind you at Notre Dame Stadium and you play for national championships

01:57at Notre Dame, people will say whatever they want, but it's real simple.

02:02I believe that, I actually believe there's more Notre Dame fans than Alabama fans.

02:07I think in the real world, Notre Dame has more fans than anyone.

02:12I really do.

02:14And if they win, there's nothing like being the coach at Notre Dame.

02:18This guy actually thought he had climbed the mountaintop at Notre Dame and that he

02:24was going to go climb the mountaintop in the SEC and take on Nick Saban.

02:30That's what he was doing.

02:32I don't think he ever thought Nick Saban was going to retire like he did.

02:36And now he's taking on DeBoer and Lane Kiffin.

02:39He bit off more than he could chew.

02:42He had it all in South Bend.

02:44And when he went down there, all he's had is agita.

02:50His last five years in South Bend, 10-3, 12-1, 11-2, 10-2, 11-1.

02:56Those were his last five years.

02:57He left off of that, including in those five years, two college football playoff appearances.

03:02And that was when they were only letting four teams in.

03:04How many of those years with 10 and 11 wins would he have got in with 12?

03:08Probably all five, knowing how Notre Dame gets pumped up.

03:11Probably wouldn't have made the playoff every year.

03:14So this is his third year.

03:16Now he's won.

03:18He's gotten 10 wins the last two years, but that includes the bowl game win.

03:21But those are not big bowl.

03:22They won the Citrus Bowl and the Reliacwest Bowl to get him to 10 wins the last couple

03:26of years.

03:27So, you know, they're not going to take 10 wins in the Citrus Bowl.

03:36They're not going to take 10 wins with a Citrus Bowl win.

03:38That's not what they hired him for.

03:39Today, he needs to make the college football playoff every year to make them happy.

03:45He should have never left Notre Dame.

03:46And you know who's laughing all the way to the bank is Freeman.
