University fees in England are rising, while Scottish students don’t pay. Do you think students should have to pay for university here, and is the cost becoming too high for the average family?

00:00I had a free education, but my parents obviously did through taxes, so it's paid one way or another.

00:07And I think sort of students, yeah, I'd be happy with free education for students,

00:15as long as the university themselves are regulated to provide value for money.

00:20I think it is, yeah. I think it stunts people's development, I think.

00:26Poverty when you're young, well, not really a good thing, especially for food, you know, and sustenance.

00:34I think basically too many students competing for too few assets, really.

00:39You know, physical food and accommodation.

00:45They're not all necessarily suited to being students, really.

00:52I was of the generation who didn't pay a single penny towards my education, and I got grants for three degrees.
