A Form Five student accused of killing his mother and brother appeared at the Ayer Keroh High Court in Melaka on Thursday (April 23), where he claimed trial to two murder charges and one count of causing grievous hurt.

00:34The court set May 15 for mention and submission of case documents.
00:38Media access was not allowed as the accused is a minor.
00:42Defense lawyer Francis Augustine said the accused is in good mental and physical condition and remains resolute.
00:49He added that discussions will be held with the family on transferring the accused to a facility with better educational
00:56access as he prepares for SPM, subject to family consent.
01:01The accused is alleged to have killed his 51-year-old mother and 21-year-old brother between 5 a
01:08.m. and 5.30 a.m. on June 12, 2025, at a residence in Taman Rambai Mutiara, Malaka Tengah.
01:17If convicted under Section 302 of the Penal Code, he faces the death penalty or 30 to 40 years imprisonment,
01:24and at least 12 strokes of the cane if the death penalty is not imposed.
01:28He is also charged under Section 326 for allegedly injuring his 13-year-old brother with a folding knife.
