00:00Hi there. Last week a lot of people talked about anti-cyclonic gloom. The weather over

00:06the next few days is still anti-cyclonic, that means high pressure, but this time without

00:11the gloom or without widespread gloom at least. So, weather front has cleared southwards and

00:17it's still bringing some low cloud and mistiness to southwestern parts of Cornwall during the

00:22rest of Monday. But elsewhere across the UK, brighter skies, not entirely blue skies, there

00:27is a lot of medium and high cloud around and certainly some patchy cloud bringing the odd

00:31shower into the north of Scotland as well as the east coast of England. A brisk breeze here will

00:36make it feel on the cold side. Lighter winds elsewhere pleasant enough, 13 to 15 in the

00:40southwest, 10 to 12 elsewhere. And under the clear skies with this clean air mass in charge now,

00:49we've got falling temperatures overnight and some fog patches forming. The most likely areas for fog,

00:55West Midlands, northwest England into the south and central part of Scotland as well as Northern

01:02Ireland where the fog could be widespread and dense. We'll also see some pockets of frost

01:06first thing Tuesday, as low as minus 3 degrees in some sheltered spots. Main urban areas staying

01:11just above freezing, but a chilly start and a widespread grass frost. We're likely to see

01:17bright skies in many places, but we will have that fog across Northern Ireland, the central

01:21belt, southern Scotland, parts of Northern England and in places it could last into the

01:26afternoon. Otherwise, patchy cloud continues to arrive in from the east and some showers for the

01:32far southeast, especially Kent where it will feel cold with the wind coming from the North Sea. A

01:37brisk wind for the northwest of Scotland as well, lighter winds in between and a pleasant enough

01:42afternoon for most. It's going to be dry and bright, albeit not entirely sunny because we do

01:47have those areas of cloud coming into the Midlands, the south and southeast at times. A weather

01:53front then brings thicker cloud into the north and northwest, some spots of rain on that on

01:58Wednesday. It weakens as it comes south, but I think a cloudier picture developing on Wednesday

02:04and Thursday. Before Friday, this area of low pressure swings into Scandinavia, bringing colder

02:12northerly winds with it. So, an interesting week ahead with some changes to come, certainly an

02:18improvement I suspect for many places compared with the gloom of last week. Bye-bye.
