The Red Force are unbeaten no more.

The reigning champions failed to defend a 291 runs against last season's losing finalist the Leeward Islands Hurricanes.

That's because Justin Greaves is in the form of his life smashing a third consecutive century.

This time hitting an unbeaten 151 to lift the Hurricanes to victory.

00:00Most would have placed money on a championship team like the Red Force to
00:04defend 291. Gets the gap and the timing is immaculate. But the Leeward
00:10Hurricanes boasted an opening pair of Mikai Louie and Justin Greaves averaging
00:1490. And true to form the two would build a solid platform getting
00:20beyond their average with a century stand. Enough muscle and power that brings the
00:25first six off the innings for the Hurricanes. The partnership would end at
00:30124 when Louie fell on a well-played 57. But everything hinged on Greaves in the
00:36form of his career as he had a hat-trick of centuries in his sight. At least he got
00:40a hand to it. Does he get enough on it though? And he created Super 50 history.
00:48And that is history. A remarkable feat for Justin Greaves. It's been a brilliant streak from this young man and he's just continuing to show his class and his dominion in Super 50 2024.
01:09As good as the Leewards were, the Red Force attack was benign as Greaves
01:14found useful partners along the way. The equation was always in the Leewards
01:18favor as Greaves notched another milestone getting to 150.
01:25As he fatigued a cameo of 25 of 16 balls from Jemma Hamilton would
01:31help see the Hurricanes storm to victory. Leewards winning by seven wickets to
01:35hand the Red Force their first defeat of the tournament. Terence Clark, TV6 Sport.
