00:00We did a DNA test to prove our child is hers.
00:04Mine.
00:05When Pudge Pudge was born, she definitely
00:07looked a bit different than the rest of our children.
00:09I get a lot of negativity in person, and on mine too.
00:14A lot of negative comments.
00:15Whose white baby is that?
00:16At the mall, there was a lady there.
00:19She insists that maybe Pudge is not my child.
00:22And I'm like, she's my child.
00:25I'm sorry you had to go through that as a mom,
00:28constantly explaining yourself.
00:35We have three children.
00:38Chub Chub is seven.
00:43Bubba is five, and Pudge Pudge is two.
00:48Be careful with my children.
00:51So we did experience infertility with getting
00:54pregnant with our children, and it ended up working out.
00:58We have three beautiful babies.
01:02The doctor that helped us get pregnant with Pudge,
01:06I cried on that man several times.
01:08We went through, like, all of the infertility treatments.
01:11We ended up having her through IVF.
01:15At a point, the doctors did talk to us about donor eggs,
01:19and it just turned out to be something
01:21that was unnecessary, because we-
01:22At the last minute, her eggs worked.
01:24At the last minute.
01:26Or did they?
01:27I'm kidding.
01:29She was a bit of a hard pregnancy,
01:31but it was worth it again.
01:34When Pudge Pudge was born, it was a surprising moment,
01:37because she definitely looked a bit different
01:39than the rest of our children.
01:40I was super surprised.
01:42Like, her ears weren't even dark.
01:44They were really, really light.
01:47Hey, beautiful.
01:48Hello.
01:50We decided to do the DNA test, because she was so light.
01:55And we did use IVF to get pregnant with her,
01:57and mistakes happen.
01:59So, we just wanted to rule that out,
02:01not have to worry about it.
02:05So, when did you start posting on TikTok, and why?
02:09A few years ago.
02:10I was just having fun when I started.
02:14So, initially, I started posting on social media
02:16because I was bored during the pandemic.
02:19And Pudge Pudge, she was born, she got here,
02:22and it was one of the first times
02:23I went outside of the house.
02:25And this older white lady, she,
02:30I was complimented for being a great nanny.
02:33And I was in my feelings, and I was also hurt.
02:36And I posted about it.
02:38This is Pudge Pudge.
02:40She's my daughter.
02:41I was pregnant with her.
02:43She still looks like this.
02:45She is blood of my blood, and flesh of my flesh.
02:49That just went viral.
02:51That was when it started,
02:52a lot of negativity and a lot of positivity.
02:56Today, we're talking about what happened at the mall.
03:00There was a lady there that was completely inappropriate.
03:04So, I'm posting about it today,
03:07not to tell people to back off, leave us alone,
03:10but to really expose the fact that these things
03:14still happen, and they don't have to.
03:17As Pudge Pudge's mom, I get a lot of negativity in person,
03:22and online too.
03:22We're in a very crowded mall,
03:25and Pudge Pudge is being two, very two.
03:32Right, Pudge?
03:34And here you go.
03:38And this lady is,
03:40hey, is there anything we can do to help?
03:44No, thank you.
03:45Just trying to get my kid.
03:46We gotta, you know, we gotta get going.
03:48And she's like,
03:50well, I just want to make sure everything's okay.
03:52We can go and get help pointing to mall security
03:55and like a sheriff that was right there.
03:57And I'm like, everything's fine.
03:59My two-year-old's just being a two-year-old.
04:01And this is when she insists that
04:04maybe Pudge is not my child.
04:06And she's like, well, things just don't look right.
04:08So, you know, let's just make sure.
04:11And I'm like, she's my child.
04:13She's my child.
04:15So, Rob ended up handling the whole thing for me
04:19and essentially telling her to leave us alone.
04:22You want to get down?
04:24Yeah.
04:25You want to get down?
04:25Okay.
04:26Give me one more big smile, okay?
04:29Give me one more big smile.
04:31You ready?
04:33I should be able to hang out with my child
04:37the way I want to.
04:40Hey!
04:41Hey, don't do that.
04:42Don't do that.
04:43Don't do that.
04:44Woo!
04:47Okay, so we've gotten some negative comments.
04:50A lot of negative comments.
04:51Whose white baby is that?
04:54You're such a great nanny.
04:57You know, I'm faking it.
04:58Pudge is a content baby.
04:59Pudge is running babies.
05:01How are you going to rent the same baby off of her?
05:03There's some racist vitriol out there
05:06and it's from both sides.
05:07I've seen people that appear to be Black online
05:10that say that I shouldn't have that white man's child,
05:15all kinds of things.
05:16And it's absolutely unnecessary.
05:19Have you also experienced this kind of negativity
05:21that Alex has experienced?
05:24I don't get questioned.
05:25I don't get checked on.
05:27I don't get compliments on not being a father, so.
05:34Someone that we know and love,
05:36they thought that he had an affair.
05:38And I was like, no.
05:40She's my child.
05:42Like, biologically, she is my child.
05:44So what happened was, I had an affair,
05:47took the fertilized embryo out of that woman somehow,
05:50put it in there, and then she grew the baby.
05:53And how do you support Alex
05:55through these circumstances that she goes through?
05:57Well, I'm there for her.
05:59You know, sometimes you just gotta be there overall
06:01and, you know, be an emotional support person.
06:07Alex!
06:09Alex!
06:15Remember the time we were in the grocery store?
06:18Yeah.
06:19Talk to me about the time and how you felt
06:20about the lady who followed us through the store.
06:25I think what it is is that our world is not educated.
06:29We have so much ego.
06:31And I'm sorry you had to go through that as a mom,
06:34constantly explaining yourself.
06:37What if things were reversed?
06:39Would a white woman with a baby who looked Black
06:42experience the things that I'm experiencing?
06:44No, she wouldn't.
06:45Or would people care?
06:46No, they wouldn't, because to them, it's like,
06:49you're saving a child that's poor, that's in a struggle.
06:53What sometimes scares me is that, at a point,
06:55she's gonna have to explain to someone
06:57that she is actually a Black woman.
07:00I'm not gonna be with her.
07:02And she's gonna have to go out and explain to people,
07:05this is my family, I belong here.
07:07I know.
07:08Like, that part is so scary.
07:10And she went through a very difficult birth.
07:16At the end of the day, I'm glad both of you guys are here.
07:19I love you.
07:21Please don't cry, because you're gonna get me crying.
07:22That's not gonna work.
07:29She made it.
07:30We're here.
07:31We're happy.
07:32I love you.
07:34I love you.
07:36Come on.
07:37Two-year-old is not cooperating.
07:41Okay, yeah, you guys are gonna look at me.
07:44You're choking your child, Rob.
07:46What? Who?
07:47So how about some positive experiences
07:49you have in public?
07:51We get a lot of comments on how well-behaved they are,
07:55and we don't see it.
07:59It's okay, they're still good kids, though.
08:02What do you hope for your family in the future?
08:04For our family, we want peace, prosperity, and joy.
08:08Really?
08:10Yeah.
08:10I just want my kids to be happy.
08:12And parenting is one of the most amazing things
08:15I've ever done.
