00:00But now it's time for us to check in with Rochelle for more in tonight's weather forecast.
00:05Thanks, Michelle. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:08You know what day it is. It's Friday.
00:11So whatever stress you had today, save it for Monday.
00:15But right now, it's time for your weather.
00:17If you're aligning tonight, here's what you can expect.
00:20Generally fair with the chance of a few party cloudy spells,
00:23along with some brief isolated showers with minimum temperatures of 22 degrees in Trinidad
00:29and a bit higher in Tobago at 24.
00:32And whatever plans you have tomorrow, make sure your sunscreens and face masks are part of it.
00:38Because according to the Met Office, conditions will be generally sunny, hazy, and breezy
00:44with a chance of brisk isolated showers with a significant concentration of Saharan dust in the atmosphere.
00:51So sensitive persons are advised to take the necessary precautions.
00:55Maximum temperatures will come in at 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago.
01:02So the sun will stick around on Sunday as well, also accompanied by hazy and breezy conditions
01:09with a chance of rain.
01:11But on Monday, a few party cloudy spells and showers will likely interrupt otherwise sunshine.
01:16Both days will bring maximum temperatures of 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago.
01:23Now to our sun times in Trinidad, sunrises at 621 and 618 in Tobago
01:29and sunset at 616 in Trinidad and 612 in Tobago.
01:34The hazardous seas alert remains in effect until Saturday at 9 a.m.
01:39So if you are heading to the beach tomorrow, please be careful.
01:43Seas will be moderate with waves near 2.5 meters in open waters
01:47and near 1 meter occasionally choppy in sheltered areas.
01:51It is now time for your Thai times.
02:04In some international news, at least 64 people have died following landslides and flooding
02:10in Brazil's southeastern state, triggered by days of heavy rains.
02:15Downpours that started late Monday have wreaked havoc across parts of the cities about 310 kilometers
02:23north of Rio de Janeiro.
02:25Throughout the week, rescuers have been assisting victims and recovering bodies.
02:30The fire department said five people are missing, while more than 5,500 people have been forced
02:37to leave their homes.
02:38Now, while we might be battling the heat in Trinidad, at least we don't have to go through
02:45this.
02:54Well, we're ending on a funny note tonight.
02:57That's all for weather tonight.
02:58Don't go anywhere because there's more news when we come back.
