The Maloney Pacers are the Kings of the basketball court.


Celebrations are still ongoing as they captured their 4th title for the year by winning the Anomaly basketball tournament. They defeated rivals Caledonia Clippers 78 to 67 the final at the Maloney Indoor Sporting Facility on Sunday.

00:05glitz and glamour in the final of the Anomaly Basketball Tournament. It came
00:09down to serious business with a lot at stake for both the teams.
00:22Could he make the difference to maintain the unbeaten record, a long-standing
00:27legacy and a chance to cement another touchstone moment to further elevate
00:31their team in local basketball. In the first quarter, the presence of Steven
00:36Leiter-Lewis was felt. He was moving like butter on the court. Even with that, the
00:41Pacers were leading at the end of the first quarter, 22 to 15. Clippers needed
00:46to come alive in the second quarter and that they did as Leiter relieves the
00:50stress. They left fans feeling like an unbeaten streak could be ended on this
00:54day. Akko Pascal shot 17 points, had three steals and was all over the court
00:59with seven rebounds and three assists. They outscored Pacers 21 to 13, a
01:04clinical display of man and hoops. To be at their best was a mandatory
01:09requirement and the scoreline left the Clippers with an extra pep in their
01:13step at halftime.
01:25It was time to dance on the court once more, or stretch rather, but the Pacers
01:30were not distracted by the halftime show and a struck two decisive blows to set
01:35them apart. Here's one
01:40and two. The scoreline all of a sudden looked very different, 22 to 15 in the
01:53third quarter in favor of Pacers. They looked even better as well in the final
01:58quarter despite the best efforts of Caledonia to overturn the result. The
02:03Pacers proving too much, the body language was a dead giveaway from the
02:07men in black. Tariq Singh took the MVP award and could pat himself on the back
02:12for playing a fabulous game. He had 18 points, 13 rebounds and three assists.
02:17The final score read 78 to 67 in favor of Pacers. They maintained their unbeaten
02:24streak, sealed their legacy and put a stamp to what has been a tremendous year
02:28of dominance on the court. Lifting the momentum trophy was just the icing on
