00:00Shrewsbury Town fall to another disappointing defeat on the road at Bristol Rovers at the
00:06Memorial Ground this evening, where it was controversy late on as Town thought they'd
00:11scored a goal in the closing moments of the game to get an equaliser, to make it 1-1 and
00:17to take a point, probably a point they deserved in fairness on the balance of the game. It
00:21was probably a game that was fairly low on quality, but Celep had some very good chances
00:26which seems to be a familiar trend that we keep repeating. But the goal was then ruled
00:31out for offside, very similar-ish to the goal if anybody watched the game at Molyneux at
00:37the weekend where John Stone scored a late winner against Wolves. Probably John Marquise,
00:43the man peen-liced today, was even further outside of the goalkeeper's line of sight.
00:48He basically just was not interfering with play and it's been given us offside and Shrewsbury
00:52come home empty-handed. It feels like it's the latest in a long kind of string of disappointing
01:00decisions that have gone against Shrewsbury, which does tend to happen when you are down
01:04at that end of the league table and Town will be very, very disappointed that it has. It
01:08makes it even more cruel that it's so late on. But Town did have 89 minutes before that
01:12where they could have got themselves ahead in the game. George Lloyd and John Marquise
01:17had good chances to give Town the lead in the first half. Visitors took the lead then
01:21after the break. Probably if it was an XG, one of the moments in the game that had the
01:29lowest XG where it was a beautiful finish with the inside of his left foot, Shrewsbury's
01:33defenders generally just seemed to get a little bit attracted to the ball. But it's another
01:37disappointing loss that makes it nine from 13 now in League One. Other results have not
01:41gone their way so it really is tough times to be a Shrewsbury Town fan at the moment.
