Ollie Westbury gives his take on another heavy defeat for Shrewsbury Town.
Salop took on top of the table Wycombe but were beaten 4-1 at the Croud Meadow.
And to compound their misery, former striker Dan Udoh was on the scoresheet for the chairboys.

00:00We've just spoken to Shrewsbury head coach Gareth Ainsworth after their disappointing,

00:06well I think that's an understatement, 4-1 defeat at the Crowd Meadow this afternoon

00:11to Wickham Wanderers. It is another gut-wrenching Saturday afternoon for the Shrewsbury Town

00:17supporters of which there was not a great deal left at full time. An incredibly disappointing

00:25day as Shrewsbury just fail to be able to sort out their defensive woes which have

00:31haunted them all season long. It's another eight goals in the last two weeks conceded

00:36and Town just don't give themselves the opportunity to get points in games because they're already

00:41out of them without them barely starting really. 2-0 down at half-time, conceded a criminal

00:48goal from a set-piece right on the break. A corner that Gareth Ainsworth has just admitted

00:53to us that they shouldn't have even conceded. It was poor that they conceded it, then it

00:57was poor that they conceded from it. They then went 3-0 down after the break. Jordan

01:02Shipley scored a very good free kick in the only moment of quality on display from a Shrewsbury

01:07perspective this afternoon at the Crowd Meadow on a cold afternoon in Shropshire. And then

01:13Dan Udo, of course, returning to Shrewsbury, got a standing ovation. Probably the only

01:17real moment where the Shrewsbury fans got off their seats to cheer when he came out

01:24to warm up in the first half. And of course, he then scored a goal to make it 4-1. He didn't

01:29celebrate, he showed great respect. He's somebody who's very well liked here in Shropshire.

01:35But yes, Dan Udo came on to make it 4-1. Shrewsbury's position in the league table, you just don't

01:41even want to look at it. They are rooted to the bottom of the League 1 table. It's another

01:45demoralising defeat for the fans. And the fact that the stadium was practically empty

01:51at full-time just basically says it all. Who knows where we go from here. Gareth Ainsworth

01:57has tried to remain positive and optimistic in his post-match press conference, but it

02:01all feels rather grim for Shrewsbury at the moment. It finished here, Shrewsbury Town

02:061, Wickham Wanderers 5 and Shrewsbury 4 to yet another disappointing defeat. And all
