00:03The family of a 95-year-old Derbyshire man who died nearly two weeks after an injury

00:08at home is convinced he was the victim of a robbery, despite police closing an investigation

00:13to the circumstances.

00:15Grandfather of six, Leslie Capewell, was found by his son Carl at his Alferton bungalow lying

00:20on the floor covered in blood.

00:22The contents of the former Colony radio driller's normally neat and tidy home on Nuttall Close

00:27was strewn all over the floor and his television had been smashed up.

00:31After Leslie had been to hospital, Carl spoke to police and was told that they believed

00:35the injuries had been caused by a fall.

00:38Leslie sadly died of heart-related complications in hospital, but while in hospital, Leslie

00:43told police that on the day of the fall he was at home when two men called at the door

00:46offering to clean.

00:48The 95-year-old said he believed at some point he had been clobbered as he could remember

00:52nothing else.

00:54The lifelong Derby County fan insisted that he had £7,000 in cash at the bungalow, however

00:59police only recovered £2,300 scattered in various places.

01:04Carl said,

01:05We don't know what investigation the police have done, but the case is dead in the water

01:09unless someone comes forward with CCTV footage.

01:12If there's been foul play, I'd worry to think I didn't do something and this happened

01:15to another old person.

01:18Two days after Leslie's death, Derbyshire Constabulary issued a statement about the incident.

01:23In it, a spokesperson said that CCTV and house-to-house inquiries had identified no

01:28suspicious activity, and they added that they had been in conversation with Leslie's children

01:33and explained the outcome of their investigation.

01:39At a time when the pub trade is falling across much of the country, one Derbyshire operator

01:43seems to be booking the trend with the announcement of its first foothold in the City of London.

01:48Bakewell's Stormbridge Brewery will open the Wild Swan around Easter next year, off

01:52Fetter Lane, which is minutes from St Paul's Cathedral and offices for some of the world's

01:57biggest law and finance firms.

01:59It is the latest sign of an ambitious growth plan for the company, coming just three months

02:03after plans were revealed for the £1m Fargate development in Sheffield City Centre, adding

02:08to prime urban locations in York, Leeds and Birmingham, and five community pubs in and

02:13around the Peak District.
