00:03A Derbyshire resident has been ordered to pay more than £3,000 in fines and costs

00:08after his noisy cockerel caused a nuisance for his neighbours.

00:12North East Derbyshire District Council's Environmental Health Service

00:16received a complaint in relation to the bird crowing at Northside in New Tupton,

00:20owned by Derek Bower.

00:22Investigations led to specialist noise monitoring equipment being installed

00:26by the environmental health team to record the frequency and noise levels coming from the property.

00:31It showed that the frequency of crowing was excessive,

00:34which significantly impacted on the neighbours' enjoyment of their own property.

00:38The case went to Derby Magistrates Court, however Mr Bower failed to attend the hearing.

00:43He was fined £660 and ordered to pay a £924 victim surcharge,

00:49as well as £1,600 in costs.

00:54Chart-topping singers 9-1-1 will headline this year's Chesterfield Pride event,

00:59performing live to thousands of people at the biggest event of its kind in the region.

01:04Chesterfield Pride celebrates its 10th anniversary on Jeweller 19th,

01:08when bands and singers will entertain the crowds at Standard Recreation Park, Whittington Moor.

01:1390s boy band 9-1-1 will be performing their greatest hits live,

01:17including the number one a little bit more.

01:20The main stage will also see performances from MoBo award-winning Big Brothers,

01:24as well as chart-topper and West End star Diana Vickers.
