00:38Clinic the benefits of red light therapy were first discovered by NASA in the
00:421990s when they used this method to help promote the growth of vegetables
00:47including potatoes in space. They also found that red light therapy helped to
00:51speed up the recovery time for scientists wounds. According to a study
00:56in 2013 the benefits of red light therapy can include increased blood flow,
01:01reduced inflammation, increased collagen levels and increased production of
01:05fibroblasts. However more research is still needed to determine its
01:10effectiveness. It's come a long way and been able to aid in space exploration to
01:15becoming the key skincare staple for celebrities and social media influencers.
