As ever it's been a very busy week in the city of Bristol, so Adriana can you tell me what is our
00:05
first top news story in the city this week? A popular Chinese lifestyle brand will be
00:12
opening their first Bristol store this week. Miniso, who specialises in lifestyle beauty and
00:20
gifting products, will be opening their first store in the southwest at Cabot Circus on Friday.
00:27
To celebrate the occasion they will be giving away goodie bags and have food and drink giveaways.
00:35
Well that sounds like a lovely one for a new brand coming to the city.
00:40
Shall we move on to our second top news story, tell me about that?
00:45
Well as Share Bristol have announced they will be opening a new library of things in north Bristol.
00:52
The aim of the venue is to allow members of the community to borrow items they need
00:57
for a membership rather than buy them, making it cheaper and decluttering their homes.
01:02
There are currently two library of things in Bristol, one in Kingswood and the other in
01:07
Bedminster. The new venue will be opening at UWE Frenchie campus.
01:15
Thank you Adriana, so we will see how that one pans out in the future.
01:19
Shall we move on to our third and final top news story in the city of Bristol this week?
01:26
A campaign has been set up to bring back the popular winter lantern parade for 2025.
01:34
Lovingly called Bemi Lanterns, the event is the biggest creative event in south Bristol
01:40
and brings together thousands of local residents. The event usually takes place in January and
01:46
residents were gutted when the event was cancelled last year. The community is determined
01:52
to bring back the lantern parade for 2025 under the theme of Bristolians Together.
