00:21in the old Akpi stable which was due to be taken down as part of the transformation of

00:28the area. This means that the construction of the new crocodile and pirate house was

00:34delayed until the birds fled in the late part of this summer. Bristol Zoo Project announced

00:41they will be delaying the opening of the completed Central African Forest Habitat to the public

00:46until Spring 2026. This will allow more time for both the animals to acclimatise to their

00:53new homes before visitors enter and the landscape to establish and mature.
