00:00Johor has decided to revert to having its weekend rest days on Saturday and Sunday next

00:10In a post, the regent of Johor, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, said he had obtained the Yang

00:21He also decreed that the Johor Mentri Besar on Hafiz Ghazi and Johor Mufti should discuss

00:26and study the matter thoroughly.

00:30Tunku Ismail said the private sector and the government should allow sufficient time and

00:35space for Muslim workers to perform Friday prayers accordingly.

00:40In 2014, Sultan Ibrahim changed Johor's weekend to Friday and Saturday.

00:47He said he did so as a mark of respect for Muslims and as recognition of Islam as the

00:52state's religion.
