00:00Further transport changes are to be implemented in the area around Bramley Moor Dock ahead of Everton's impending move to their new stadium.
00:08Liverpool Council is seeking to create a football match parking zone around the 52,000 seater ground.
00:14Similar to the existing measures at the Toffees current home at Goodison Park and neighbouring Anfield,
00:19the proposed parking zone will encompass the surrounding 10 streets, districts and into the city centre.
00:24This could include the creation of new resident parking area, taxi ranks and bus stands.
00:29The wider aim of the parking zone is to reduce congestion, improve air quality, safety and journey times to and from the stadium.
00:36Scheduled to open for the 2025-26 season, Everton's new stadium will be subject to a number of test events at the start of next year.
00:44The City Council has already signed off on proposals by Mersey Rail to create a van management zone at the nearby Sandhill station.
00:51Everton has developed plans with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, British Transport Police, Liverpool Council and Mersey Rail.
