00:00I have to have you say it on, on air, uh, how, you know, honestly, they have screwed

00:09up so many great rivalries in college football.

00:12And I mean, just endless.

00:13I can start with, uh, the Canes and Notre Dame, you know, they might play them once

00:17every 10 years now.

00:18And that's pathetic.

00:19Michigan, Notre Dame, pathetic.

00:20And I'm not just talking about, uh, Notre Dame here, uh, Pitt, Penn state, they screwed

00:25that up.

00:26Uh, they have, you know, I'm surprised that they even have the red river anymore.

00:32I really, I know they both went to, uh, you know, the sec, but you'd figure they'd screw

00:37that up too.

00:38They screwed up the big 12 when it was the big eight, they screwed it up.

00:42And then, you know, I just think they've done a bad job with what fans live for in college

00:47football are those moments, those games, those rivalries, like the backyard brawl this year

00:53was fantastic.

00:54Absolutely.

00:55Absolutely.

00:57So it's the big difference, uh, historically between the NFL and college football, college

01:01football, because there's 136 teams and you play within your conference, mostly it's a

01:06regional sport.

01:07I didn't pay attention to the West coast that much in a lot of times, or sometimes even

01:11to the big 10.

01:12But when you had these big games, Miami and Notre Dame, you know, or Michigan and Notre

01:17Dame or Southern Cal and Notre Dame, or, uh, or even Texas and Oklahoma, these games meant

01:22something to everybody in the country.

01:24When you watch TV, people that weren't even interested in those two teams knew these were

01:28the big games that represent college football.

01:31And I've always wanted the great teams to bleep, to play well, not bad.

01:35You know, when Miami had that bad street going, it didn't help college football, it hurt college

01:39football when they're tops, like they are right now is if they can hang on and they're

01:43playing teams like, like a Notre Dame, when they can, that enhances college football.

01:49It makes it more attractive to everybody in the country.
