Is a cashless society good for businesses?

In its weekly voxpop, the Advertiser found out how businesses in the town feel about the idea of going cashless and how it would affect them.

00:42It wouldn't, I don't think it would affect me.

00:45Should we go cashless as a society?

00:48Absolutely not.

00:49Because when we do, then we have no control over our own money.

00:55I don't think it's a very good idea at all.

00:57I think it would exclude a lot of people.

01:05Yeah, I mean, we've never really considered going cashless because we've got a lot of

01:09customers who use cash and find it easier and more comfortable.

01:12So I mean, if it was enforced, we wouldn't really want that because I feel like it isolates

01:19a lot of our customer base who are otherwise more comfortable paying with cash.

01:26I think you should take cash personally.

01:30So any transaction that the customer wants to use, the customer is the most important

01:36part of any business.

01:37So I feel that you should take all currencies, the card, cash, the phone, whatever people

01:44want to pay with.

01:46I can't see the purpose of going totally cashless.
