00:00Perlis Mufti Asri Zainul Abidin has declared that Global Iqwan Services and Business Holdings
00:07promotes deviant beliefs and runs its businesses in an un-Islamic manner.
00:12Following a review by the State Fatwa Committee,
00:15Asri said the committee concluded that GISBH's beliefs are a continuation
00:20of those adopted by the Ban al-Arqa movement.
00:23Asri said GISBH also foster a cult-like devotion to its leaders,
00:28elevating them to a status comparable to Prophet Muhammad.
00:32He said some of the concerning practices include blindly worshipping leaders,
00:36seeking blessings from their physical remains,
00:38and fabricating new sharia rules to justify their actions.
00:42Asri said the committee also found that GISBH's economic practices
00:46do not align with Islamic principles.
00:48This is due to elements of oppression and enslavement of those involved
00:53and the exploitation of members, children, women and families
00:57for the benefit of the leaders, he said.
00:59Therefore, Asri said all teachings, activities and anything that supports GISBH
01:04are prohibited.
