00:00PAS's call for global ikhwan services and business holdings to be protected from unfair
00:06action was an affront to Islam.
00:09This is what Sisters in Islam said, adding that it has noticed that some politicians
00:12and religious leaders are trying to protect the perpetrators instead of calling them out.
00:18The group said although PAS had called for action to be taken against the wrongdoers,
00:22its Secretary General, Taqiuddin Hassan, also said the drive to punish them should not negatively
00:27affect GISBH.
00:29Last week, Taqiuddin said the business network should be protected from hasty and unfair
00:33action that may arise from reckless sentiments, prejudices, business rivalries, or political
00:39agendas.
00:40In response, SIS questioned if PAS truly believed that it was acceptable to build a business
00:45empire on the suffering of abused children and women.
00:49It also wondered if the party was willing to overlook the exploitation of vulnerable
00:52individuals for the sake of protecting a business network.
