00:00So, as ever, it has been a very busy week in the city of Bristol with loads on in the news.
00:07So, Charlie, can you tell me what is our first hot news story in the city this week?
00:12So, our top story is that three new stores are set to open in Cribbs Causeway,
00:18taking the shopping centre in the north of Bristol to almost 100% occupancy now.
00:26So, the stores which have come in are the sportswear manufacturer Castor,
00:31the jewellery brand Austin and Blake and the makeup specialist Kiko Milano.
00:39And these follow the recent news that Lego will also be opening a store at the shopping centre,
00:46which has seen its footfall hit a record high growth over 2023.
00:53So, some new openings there to look forward to.
00:57Thank you, Charlie. So, that is one that I'm sure many locals will enjoy.
01:02So, shall we move on to our second top news story? Tell me about that.
01:06Next is that a pub, which was dubbed the best British pub in Bristol,
01:14has announced it will be closing for a refurbishment.
01:18So, this is the Bristol Flyer on Gloucester Road in Bishopston,
01:24and it says it will be gutted and refitted during the almost month-long renovation later this year.
01:32It will close at the start of November.
01:35That is a very exciting one for the pub industry in the city then.
01:40Shall we move on to our final top news story in the city this week? Tell me about that.
01:46Finally, is that the Southfield neighbourhood in Bristol is being named among the top places to live
01:54across the city and Somerset, according to Muddy Stilettos.
