Drone Footage Captures Precision Strike on Seym River Bridge
The attack on the reinforced concrete bridge, located near the village of Karyzh, was carried out by Ukraine's tactical drone unit, Khorne Group. They released footage of the strike on September 8, showing the precision and power behind the operation.

The video revealed three successive strikes on the bridge’s central span, already damaged by previous Ukrainian attacks. The first two hits scattered cluster munitions, while the third detonated with a large explosion, making the bridge impassable to vehicles. According to reports, the bridge can now only be crossed on foot or by bicycle, marking a significant loss for Russian military logistics.

00:00In a major blow to Kremlin forces stationed near the Ukraine-Russia border, Ukrainian
00:05forces have reportedly destroyed a critical bridge in Russia's Kursk region, potentially
00:10trapping Russian troops on the wrong side of the same river.
00:14The attack, which occurred in broad daylight, targeted a strategically important concrete
00:18bridge that connects the region.
00:21The strike was carried out by Ukraine's Korn Group, a tactical drone unit, which released
00:26footage of the operation on September 8th.
00:29Some footage shows three precision strikes on the already damaged central section of
00:33the bridge.
00:35The first two hits scattered cluster munitions across the bridge and into the river, while
00:39the third delivered a direct, powerful explosion.
00:43After the attack, the bridge was deemed unusable for vehicles.
00:48Ukrainian military sources have since released a Russian dashcam video that appears to show
00:52the strike from a driver's perspective.
00:55The bridge is located near the village of Koryaz in Kursk, a settlement southeast of
01:00the same river.
01:01According to earlier reports, the bridge was previously damaged by Ukrainian strikes but
01:06remained passable for small civilian vehicles, although it was risky.
01:11As of Monday, however, it seems the bridge can only be crossed on foot or by bicycle
01:16and is now impassable for any larger vehicles.
01:20This destruction of the bridge comes amid Ukraine's ambitious offensive into Russia's
01:24Kursk region, which began on August 6th.
01:28In just over a month, Ukraine has captured hundreds of Russian prisoners and secured
01:32a stretch of territory around 25 by 55 kilometers in size.
01:38The offensive has left some Russian troops isolated as their only routes back cross three
01:42bridges over the same river.
01:45Ukrainian forces have heavily targeted these crossings and by August 20th, two of the bridges
01:50had been completely destroyed.
01:53The recent attack has now rendered the third bridge inoperable.
01:57The munitions used in this latest strike appear similar to US-made M-30G MLRS rockets, though
02:03this hasn't been conclusively confirmed.
02:07Ukraine also has Soviet-era rocket artillery and some airdropped cluster bombs from Western
02:11allies.
02:13While Ukraine's military hasn't specifically commented on the isolated Russian forces,
02:18they have confirmed that their offensive in the Kursk region is progressing as planned.
02:23In earlier attacks, Ukrainian intelligence confirmed the use of US-supplied HIMARS rockets
02:28to target the same river bridges.
02:31Since mid-August, Russian engineers have attempted to build pontoon bridges over the same.
02:37Ukrainian forces have reportedly destroyed these temporary crossings whenever they've
02:41been spotted.
02:42The same river itself is at least 20 meters wide and too deep to wade across, although
02:47small boats or swimming could provide alternative crossing methods.
02:52Some reports suggest that up to 3,000 Russian troops are now trapped in a pocket of land
02:57roughly 30 kilometers wide and 20 kilometers deep.
03:01However, according to a statement from Russia's defense ministry, their troops in the Kursk
03:05region continue to defend their positions.
