00:00A devastating scene unfolded in northern Vietnam as a busy bridge collapsed, sending several
00:06vehicles plunging into the river below.
00:09Super Typhoon Yagi, which has claimed over 60 lives since making landfall on Saturday,

00:18Dashcam footage captured the harrowing moment on Monday as the bridge gave way, launching
00:23cars and scooters into the water.

00:31The typhoon has caused widespread chaos throughout northern Vietnam.
00:36Flooding and landslides have left millions without power over the weekend.
00:40While Yagi has now weakened into a tropical depression, authorities warn that more disruptions
00:45are expected as it moves westward.
00:48With winds reaching 203 km per hour, making it Asia's most powerful storm this year,
00:54the typhoon has left more than 240 people injured.
00:58Ten cars and two scooters plunged into the Red River when the bridge collapsed.
01:03Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phuc confirmed the disaster, adding that part of the 375-meter
01:09bridge still stands, and military teams have been ordered to construct a temporary pontoon
01:14bridge across the gap.

01:21to rise.

01:27in landslides and flash floods, including a 68-year-old woman, a one-year-old boy, and

01:42In Yen Bai province, floodwaters rose to a meter high, forcing the evacuation of 2,400
01:48families.
01:49Schools in 12 northern provinces, including the capital Hanoi, have been closed as authorities
01:55urged residents to stay indoors.
01:58Nearly 50,000 people were evaluated from coastal towns as the storm approached.
02:03Yagi also left a trail of destruction across southern China and the Philippines, where
02:08it claimed 24 more lives before reaching Vietnam.
02:12As global temperatures rise, storms like these are expected to become more intense, with
