00:00Please welcome to the stage, Walk of Famer, Winona Ryder.
00:07Hello, I am so, so happy to be here to honor our beloved Tim, who's finally getting his
00:32star.
00:33I mean, giving him this star is sort of like pinning a medal on Mount Everest for being
00:39the tallest mountain.
00:43Tim has such a beautiful and unique understanding of the human heart.
00:48He knows the heartache of the misunderstood, the strange and unusual.
00:55He doesn't just understand them, he celebrates them.
00:59Whether outcasts, oddballs, terrifying, or hilarious, he gives them depth, humor, and
01:05always a certain gallantry, and he gives them their dignity.
01:11His heroes are the very outcasts that he loves.
01:16So we've been traveling all over the place promoting Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and I have
01:21been asked so many times what it's like to work with Tim.
01:26And it's actually, to describe it is actually kind of hard.
01:32To work with Tim is like being invited to wander through his heart and imagination.
01:39It's the ultimate cathedral and one of my most cherished and sacred places to be, and
01:44I am eternally grateful for the time that I've spent there.
01:49And on a personal note, Tim, your friendship has been such an enormous gift.
01:57When I met you, I was a weird kid, and you affirmed my voice, you reinforced my confidence
02:09to be myself, to go against the tides of conformity, your creative inclusiveness showed me what
02:16true artistic collaboration looked like, and in other words, you made being a weird
02:23girl not just okay, but something to celebrate and even kind of cool.
02:30And you've carried that torch for us weirdos everywhere, making us all feel seen and valued.
02:40Congratulations, I love you so much.
02:51Winona Ryder, everybody!
