01:00I've been on this street before, but I've never had somebody remind me of this special
01:12moment that Gal reminded me of when she asked me to present.
01:18I said there could be no way in the world that I wouldn't be here.
01:24Because out of all of my accomplishments, one of my best moments in my life was taking
01:33a chance on an unknown actress who had strength and empathy so beautifully wound together
01:45that when the whole town was saying, you're going to do fast-four?

01:51I had the confidence because, well, do you want to know how this all happened?

02:04So I'm playing World of Warcraft in my office, and I've got eight actresses there that I'm
02:10supposed to make a decision.
02:11Vin, you've got to make a decision.
02:14Paloma, my wife, comes into the office, and I say, I'm liking this person.
02:21Nobody's ever heard of her, but she evokes this magic that, again, is this beautiful
02:29dance of strength and empathy that we as creatives look for in a star.
02:40And I said, the studio's killing me.
02:42I need to pick a Giselle by tonight.
02:45And Paloma said, that's your Giselle.
02:49And looked at Gal, and next thing you know, she was flying to LA, and we screen-tested,
02:55and the rest was history.
03:03The reward for me was, after the movie came out, she became friends with my mother, because
03:23my mother said, the best thing about the movie was your chemistry with Gal Gadot.
03:31And that was the beginning of the whole future of Fast and Furious.
03:36And then, jump cut to the next movie, Fast Five, Euron's in my trailer every day, and
03:43we're talking, watching me, but we're talking about life.
03:48And because Gal was there when my daughter was born, and she was a part of me becoming
03:53a father, she was also a part of my son being born.
04:00And was just Auntie Gal to my kids.
04:07We're very about family.
04:09Everyone makes it a meme, but it's very real.
04:11We're very about family.
04:12So my only dream was for Euron and Gal to start a family of their own.
04:21And that's really the thing I'm most excited about, and I mean, of course, after Pablo,
04:33after Paul left, Gal was the first one at my house to wipe my tears.
