00:00This is Leeds Train Station, and for many of you on bank holiday weekend Friday, your
00:11second to last port of call before Leeds Festival at Bramham Park.
00:16And this is me, Benjamin Jackson, remote worker, someone who seldom gets exercise, can't be
00:22honest with you sir.
00:23But on this occasion, not only am I going to get some cardio, but also give you a bit
00:27of a walking guide on how to get to the Leeds Festival shuttle services at Sovereign Square.
00:35A few things firstly though, pay more attention to the road than I do.
00:40I mean Leeds around this area is quite densely populated with foot traffic, with road traffic
00:46and of course, roadworks.
00:48It is the summer holidays after all, so the taxi driver told me.
01:07That guy gets it!
01:08That guy totally gets it!
01:11Had it not been for the roadworks, in previous years a set of stairs would be accessible
01:15across the road from the main entrance of Leeds Train Station, but as the rebuild of
01:20the area continues, gone is that shortcut, much to my life's dismay.
01:44This wouldn't be Leeds Festival without roadworks, let's be honest.
02:14Road code, right, road code.
02:18There are a couple of familiar landmarks though, walking this way to Sovereign Square, those
02:22halcyon days underneath the railway bridge at the cockpit with memories of huge tour
02:27buses parked precariously on the roadside.
02:32Ah, this also happens to be one of the few places on the walk to where the shuttles to
02:38Leeds Festival pick up for some last minute items, though there will be a co-op on the
02:43blue campsite, so don't panic, don't panic.
02:48Now to make things even more simple for yourself, why don't you take the opportunity before
02:54arriving at Leeds Train Station to download the First Bus app.
02:58It's through this app that you can pick up a multitude of options how you want to get
03:02to Bramham Park, be it a one-way ticket, a day return, they also have a multi-pass across
03:08the duration of Leeds Festival that allows you three return trips to and from Bramham
03:13Park.
03:15Prepare for queues though, I mean if you're early enough you might be able to enjoy some
03:19of the deckchairs in the grass area at Sovereign Square, or if you're very early maybe a cross
03:25over the River Eyre on one of the footbridges around the Embankment area.
03:30Hey look, we're here.
03:36Well I say we're here, Sovereign Square is just around the corner, but let's be honest
03:42with ourselves for a moment okay, the queue is probably going to end up around here, not
03:46here, not here, well you wish it was going to be here, but that's how to get from Leeds
03:52Train Station to Sovereign Square, so until Bank Holiday, have a good one.
04:00Yeah, yeah the pitfalls of remote working right, and there you know, I need more exercise.
