00:00I knew Katara was special. He would do a little butt wiggle every time I approached his tank.

00:08He even recognized my hands and loved to be close.

00:12He loved following my finger and was curious about everything.

00:19I never thought a fish could be this smart and emotive.

00:23So I spent time with him every day, bonding and teaching him new tricks.

00:39I wanted to take his fish tricks to the next level.

00:42I searched online, tricks to teach your fish.

00:45And that's when I saw the greatest ad I have ever seen.

00:49So your fish does nothing.

00:51Until now.

00:53It was like this old 90's commercial with an entire kit for teaching your fish new tricks.

01:04I look at the dodo. I've seen so many animal videos.

01:07But this is the best video I have ever seen.

01:17I'm going to show my best fish, Comet, doing some of his tricks.

01:21The whole thing started when my kids wanted a pet.

01:26And they really wanted a dog.

01:28They weren't thrilled with a fish.

01:31And so we decided, on a whim really, to try and train them.

01:37Fish are a lot more intelligent than people give them credit for.

01:41When I would walk into the room, they would come over to the edge of the tank.

01:47There was very little information about fish intelligence at the time.

01:52So we were quite surprised.

01:55My goldfish, Albert Einstein, is a Guinness World Record holder.

01:59So of the 2007 Guinness World Record book, that's Albert Einstein there, you can see.

02:06I don't know if you know this, but there's actually a lot of people on Instagram that use your kits.

02:10No, I did not know that.

02:12There's actually this thing called the Bait Olympics, where a lot of bait fish compete.

02:16And this is my little plaque.

02:18Oh, cool.

02:19You have to be a judge.

02:21You're literally like a legend in the fish community.

02:23I love the idea that many people out there have the kit and have used it to train their fish.

02:27It's fun for the fish, too.

02:29It makes their lives more interesting.

02:32I ended up getting the kit for my birthday and set it up for my new little guy, Napoleon,

02:37awaiting many wonderful memories ahead of us.
