00:00Your opinion as somebody who's been around the league, do you view them as way more beneficial
00:20than a normal practice or do you look at yourself as like, Hey, some of the juice and the intensity
00:24we can get there, it opens you up to potentially some recklessness. Like Mike McCarthy has
00:28talked about this week that, Hey, I don't want to see any fights out there.
00:31Not going to see my, I'm not going to see my starters play on Sunday. So this is a really
00:35good opportunity for me to see my son. I would, I would play joint practices before I played
00:40preseason games if it was me. Okay. Just because you can control the tempo of the practice
00:45and you can control your quarterback, not getting hit. And you know, you can control
00:50a lot of things. You add this, the chippiness comes from, I think what happens is you have
00:55to have two coaches. Like when Jeff Fisher brought his team in here, Jeff Fisher's kind
01:00of a thug coach, you know? And so, and so what happens is he's always going to try and
01:06show how big his thing is, you know, that kind of thing. So what, so what, you know,
01:12when you practice against him, it's always going to be a fight. And so you gotta lay
01:16out ground rules. This is not something you talk about the day before. This is something
01:21you've talked about weeks in advance. That like, listen, we're interested in working
01:25with you, but you know, this is how we play. Like the Cowboys here, when they practice,
01:30they go one verse once. Well, maybe the Rams don't do that. Maybe the Rams go, maybe their,
01:35their, their twos go against their ones, you know? So you gotta kind of have to agree like,
01:39are we going best offense on best defense? How are we going to play this out? You got
01:44to, you got to kind of script out. See, two fields will be working. And so you might,
01:48you might have ones and twos on one field and then threes and fours on the other, you know,
01:53and then kind of, but you're always going to be, it's just, you know, how you practice. Do you do
01:58nine on seven run periods? Do you do seven on seven pass periods? Do you do one on one pass
02:04rush? You know, there's a lot of things that they have to kind of work through before they
02:09can get out here and practice. But I really do like it just from the aspect of, I'm not going
02:14to see my starters play on Sunday. This is a good opportunity for them to get some work.
02:18Yeah. I mean, the lions and giants had a fight. I mean, you could have seen that coming from a
02:22mile away. Those coaches are kind of meatheads. Like you could see that, right? Yeah. You're,
02:26you've got, you've got one, one team trying to establish something, you know, with not established
02:31the, the, the lions have already clearly established who they are. And the, the giants
02:36we've seen are kind of a team in turmoil and they've, and they've got a coach that's on,
02:41you know, it's struggling to keep his job. They got a quarterback that nobody really likes,
02:46you know, there's a lot of things and a lot has to do with the way the practice, if you
02:50practice against the team and it's extremely hot outside, people get irritable when it's
02:56hot. I mean, you guys are living it right now. People get mad and you know, you feel
03:01like that you kind of got wronged and then you're going to take a shot. And the next
03:04thing you know, everybody's going to get in a fight. And that part of it, I mean, that
03:08part of it I could do without.
03:10All right, Brian.
