Newport has a new paint a pot boutique heading its way, to be opened by a local family.

A work in progress at the moment but soon to be opened is the perfect place to enjoy a bit of craft and grab a cup of tea. We meet up with the Newport girl about to get crafty.

00:00So we're here in St. Mary Street, Newport and a brand new business it's very soon

00:05to open and Charlie it's your project hello. Hello. The poster's the clue I guess

00:11isn't it so ever so creative. Ever so creative it's that because it's my

00:17surname Evers Swindell. So that's why there is a little s on the Evers if anyone's

00:23wondering what that is but yes so you can come on down to our shop and you can

00:31get creative. When's it due to open then? Well it has been a bit hit and miss

00:37and because of all the decorating and renovations that are going on I'm

00:41hoping it's gonna be in about a week's time. So fingers crossed we can keep

00:46everything going. And what can people do then when they come here? So people can

00:51come choose their pottery piece and that can be from a whimsical item to a

00:57nice candle holder from a vase anything and you can come and paint and make it a

01:04beautiful masterpiece to have at home or to give to someone and we've got a

01:10lovely studio area so you can go and paint up there overlooking the church. It

01:15is a fantastic spot isn't it's lovely and you've got the two floors so you've

01:18got upstairs which I guess yeah so yeah very nice creative area and then

01:27downstairs there'll be a few tables so you could still sit in the window yeah

01:32and there'll be a boutique there as well so there'll be a few nice little

01:35homemade gifts and a few little bits and bobs and you can even grab a cup of tea

01:40and odd little bits like that. You can grab a cup of tea and a coffee while you're painting relax chill out

01:45There'll be some surprises coming along the way as well once we're up and

01:49running so there'll be some more things to watch out for and classes workshops

01:54all sorts just for Newport and the surrounding areas. Come on around. Great stuff thank you Charlie and good
