00:00Several MIC and MCA leaders have cast doubt on Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's insistence that

00:08their parties have not been marginalized, with one MCA leader calling the Barisan Nasional

00:12Chairman's claim mere window dressing.

00:16Speaking on condition of anonymity, a source said MCA and MIC are being sidelined, citing

00:21the non-inclusion of the party's representatives on local councils as proof.

00:26The source also said DAP has taken over as the voice of the non-Malays in government.

00:31Meanwhile, a senior MIC leader said Zahid's claim could not be farther from the truth

00:36and that the party's grassroots are angry over its treatment.

00:40The source said MIC was treated much better when BN and Barisan Nasional were in government,

00:44adding that both MCA and MIC were given a ministerial post each.

00:49The source said that MIC and MCA MPs withdrew their support for Bersatu President Muhyiddin

00:54Yassin and PN to enable BN to support PKR President Anwar Ibrahim en bloc, with Zahid

01:00promising each party a cabinet position.

01:02However, they ended up not getting anything in return.

01:06The source said there is much pressure from the party grassroots to join PN as the members

01:10feel shortchanged by Anwar.

01:13The general feeling is that the party would be better off in PN with Muhyiddin leading

01:16the coalition, the source added.
