00:00Maybe if Rory would have blown it on Sunday, I would have been like, ah, how did you possibly
00:09bet the guy to Rory finished T for the Scottish Open, right?
00:15He has been as dialed in it is it is unfair, right?
00:20Probably to some degree it's it's it's relative, right?
00:23His expectations are of a different level.
00:26He's still playing largely what is incredible golf.
00:29That's why this is so I can't really believe that he missed this cut.
00:34It really is unfathomable to me.
00:36Okay, so as as my background as a golf professional teaching and playing the game at the professional
00:41level right here, here's exactly what happens to these guys.
00:45They are so routine and we talked Carver and I talked about this at length on Wednesday
00:49and I probably talked about it too much.
00:51But as it's turned out, this is the key to the whole championship.
00:54When that wind shifted on Wednesday from the prevailing wind out of the northwest to a
00:58wind from the south and these guys had not practiced this golf course and then all of
01:02a sudden you start hitting shots, you know, these guys are so dialed in with the one way
01:07that they do things Rory's a high ball hitter.
01:09He did not adjust into that wind and it ate him up.
01:12And then all of a sudden a lot of these guys they play a fade off the T because of which
01:16for a right-handed golfer is all moving left to right.
01:19Okay, so it when they went to that back nine and the wind was coming off of their like
01:24downwind off of the left all of those fades were now heading towards the railroad tracks
01:28or heading towards trouble all the setup of all of it made them very uncomfortable, very
01:33uncomfortable.
01:34And if you had one bad swing and you saw it, you know, you saw Max home and make a triple.
01:38Yeah, he fought back but he wasn't hitting the ball.
01:40Good.
01:41You saw Rory hit the ball on the railroad tracks on the first round and then you can
01:45see how much their confidence gets shaken when you get into the nuts and bolts of how
01:49to play this game and what they do.
01:51These guys are very very routine.
01:52You throw them off their routine and it gets difficult very very difficult to come back
01:57even with a T4 at the Scottish Open.
