00:00Do you think this year that the Big Ten will have more players drafted in the first round than the
00:06SEC?
00:07I think they will, and I think it's going to be close for the entire draft, which, you know, the
00:13thing is Ohio State will probably have double-digit guys drafted.
00:15The one thing with the SEC, A&M had double-digit guys at the Combine, LSU and Alabama.
00:22Alabama still had double-digit guys at the Combine, so they are still, you know, producing a lot of NFL
00:28talent.
00:28So the SEC might actually win the overall number, but I won't be surprised if the Big Ten between Beg
00:35Ione, the Penn State guys, or the Ohio State guys.
00:41There are others that are going to get drafted in the first round from the Big Ten.
00:45Makai Lemon, he counts now.
00:47So when you get to count those West Coast guys, that was kind of –
00:51Well, the tight ends from Oregon.
00:52Kenyon Sadiq.
00:53Kenyon Sadiq.
00:54So they probably will win, and that West Coast corporate takeover that the Big Ten had will help.
01:00But you know what?
01:00At the end of the day, it's still Big Ten, and I do think they're going to win the first
01:05round.
01:06I'm interested to see the gap between the Big Ten and the SEC, then the next tier with the ACC
01:12and the Big 12 in terms of draft picks.
01:14Then, you know, I always keep an eye on how many B6 guys are getting drafted now.
01:19That number's dwindled in recent seasons.
01:21How many FCS guys are going to be taken?
01:23That number's actually gone up a little bit.
01:25So what will these numbers look like at the end?
01:28I always track that for Sporting News.
01:30It's a fun process, but I do think the Big Ten will win the first round, peaking at a big
01:34board for next year.
01:35And, you know, the number of Ohio State and Indiana guys that will be on that, starting with guys like
01:41Jeremiah Smith, Austin Cereveld.
01:43Indiana's going to have a lot of guys on that.
01:46Carter Smith and, you know, just the depth, Nick Marsh, some of the transfers that we're assuming are going to
01:51do well for the Hoosiers.
01:53So that's not going away.
01:54You know, I think Ohio State, Indiana in particular, are going to have a bunch of guys on that big
01:59board.
01:59And it is going to be a year flush with quarterbacks, which will be interesting to see if teams kind
02:05of position themselves to get one of those guys next year,
02:08whether it's Arch Manning or Julian Sayan or Dante Moore or Trinidad Chambliss.
02:13It is a next year will be a year that we spend probably all of this airtime talking about those
02:18quarterbacks and where they're going to go,
02:20because it will be one of those years.
