A64 Leeds public consultation underway

Leeds residents are being asked to share their views on plans to transform travel along the A64.

00:00Leeds residents are being encouraged to participate in a consultation, which is aiming to improve

00:05journeys on the A64. Leeds City Council and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority have

00:11revealed proposals to improve bus, walking, wheeling and cycling journeys on the A64,

00:17known as the A64 Bus Priority Corridor Project. The scheme will be aiming to enhance bus reliability

00:23and travel times, as well as improve cycling and walking facilities between Marsh Lane

00:28and Stanks Lane North. The key proposals include an extension of the inbound bus lane

00:33between Upper Accommodation Road and Raincliffe Road, and traffic signal upgrades at junctions

00:38including Selby Road, Killingbeck Drive and Seacroft Avenue. A new inbound bus lane on

00:44the approach to the Outer Ring Road may also be installed, along with real-time information

00:49displays at selected bus stops along the route. The plans can be viewed online where you can
