00:00If we're taking a look at the Boston Celtics, the one thing they never have to worry about

00:06is that bottom line here, where they spent a lot of money, because even in Boston, the

00:10Boston Red Sox, they should be operating as one of the top three teams in Major League

00:14Baseball with a payroll, and they sit back and go, we're sold out every game, we have

00:18a wonderful franchise, win or lose, we're going to make money hand over fist.

00:21Are we worried in Boston that the new group coming in as that corporate conglomerate maybe

00:25goes, you know what, we're going to sell out, we're going to make more money, let's limit

00:29the damage here?

00:31I think that worry should definitely be real in Boston.

00:34That's what I think of, too.

00:35I'm trying to think of who my ideal owner is.

00:37I don't care if it's a local person.

00:38I don't care if they're young, if they're old.

00:40They just have to be all in on winning, like we saw what the Celtics did, and what it paid

00:44in dividends.

00:45Two banners this ownership group bought.

00:47They doubled down and paid two superstar elite wings.

00:51They drafted those two guys, developed those two guys, and then filled out the rest of

00:55the core.

00:56That has to be the worry, because you see it all across the league.

00:58What a salary cap is, what a team is actually paying for, and going into their salary with

01:03that as well.

01:05That's a tough part.

01:06That has to be the worry in Boston of whoever gets this team to not be as intent on winning

01:12and having that be the priority, because now what you could have is it's the NBA.

01:17It is the biggest league in the world.

01:18It is the Boston Celtics, which isn't just a big deal in the NBA, but one of the biggest

01:23franchises in all of pro sports around the world.

01:27It's the Celtics.

01:28It's the Lakers.

01:29It's the Knicks when you're talking NBA.

01:30Then it's everyone else.

01:31It's the Sixers, too.

01:32I'll give you that, Donny, but that's how it goes down.

01:35Now you have to come in, and this is a city that has some of the smartest fans in the

01:39world, and they will see right through the BS.

01:42We don't care about margins.

01:43You're a billionaire.

01:44We don't care about you lining your pocket anymore.

01:47We are the people that buy those season tickets.

01:49We are the people that show up to the games.

01:51We are the people that show up in millions on Causeway in the middle of a heat wave to

01:56celebrate you on duck boats with a parade.

02:01That is what the fans want.

02:03They don't care about margins.

02:04They don't care about profits, but I know billionaires, they don't care about us.
