00:00Wales are still on the hunt for a replacement for former manager Rob Page.
00:05The 49-year-old took Wales to their first World Cup since 1958, but after failing to
00:09qualify for Euro 2024, he was sacked from the job last month.
00:13Fans and those in the know had a list of names they wanted to replace Page, but one of the
00:16frontrunners is officially taking himself out of contention for the job.
00:20Oshan Roberts, a former Wales assistant manager and current Italian side Como head coach,
00:25said in a post online that he wanted to thank the Football Association of Wales for expressing
00:29interest in him, but he was committed to his current role in Como until at least 2026.
00:35He did though add that he was an incredibly proud Welshman and that he would love to become
00:39the Wales boss one day.
00:41The current pair of most likely targets for the Wales job are now footballing icon and
00:44France under-20 one-boss Thierry Henry, who did his coaching badges with the Welsh FA,
00:49and interim Burnley head coach and Welsh legend Craig Bellamy.
00:53Both are new to their jobs and have limited experience, but have showed some promise in
00:57their short managerial careers so far.
