00:00I think anti-Semitism is running through our society at the moment.
00:05I think if we looked at the response that the Prime Minister Keir Starmer had when he went to Golders
00:09Green yesterday,
00:11I think it's testament to the fact that the Jewish community in the UK is not happy at the moment.
00:17I think there's a much broader point there. I think a lot of the marches that we've seen over recent
00:21months.
00:23And again, freedom of speech is very important, but there has been a clear link to hate speech.
00:28And when hate speech turns into violence and it turns into terrorism,
00:33something that we've seen over the last few days in Golders Green,
00:36that needs to be stamped out as quickly as possible to give that confidence to our Jewish community that we
00:42are protecting them.
00:43Groups like Palestine Action, which has now been designated, they've attacked RAF bases and they've had to be closed down.
00:50And anyone who's gone to those marches has been arrested.
00:52So if there are credible claims that stuff like that's going to happen, then they need to be closed down.
00:58And we will work with the police. And I know Kemi has been front footed with this to make sure
01:03they have the necessary powers to be able to step in and keep our Jewish community safe.
