I mean, one of the things that I love from doing this is that when you are a fluent and capable reader,
00:09
it's very difficult to put yourself into the situation where you imagine what that would be like if that was taken away from you.
00:16
And working with David has really helped me to understand that process.
00:21
I'd just like to commend David for his hard work and his diligence.
00:26
He's been coming in on a bike, how many miles is it roughly?
00:32
That's six.
00:33
That's six miles. So we've done 55 sessions and he started, I think, during the winter.
00:42
And you can imagine what kind of winter we've had.
00:45
He's now got an electric bike, so he now gets it early.
00:50
I used to be able to go into the library, put my feet up, choose a book and wait for David.
00:56
Because obviously, depending on weather conditions, if you're cycling up a hill and a gale force wind's coming, you don't go so fast.
01:03
Now he's got an electric bike, he gets there before I do.
01:07
But his diligence and the amount of effort he's put into it has been absolutely fantastic.
01:15
Learning for me, because I've never done this, I was a teacher, but I've never kind of taught in that detail way before.
01:23
But I just want to say, well done David, and you thoroughly deserve all the credit.
