00:00Well, as ever, our focus is on ensuring that we maintain patient safety, so we will be
00:04prioritising emergency and urgent care. That does unfortunately mean we'll see some disruption,
00:09some appointments and procedures postponed and rescheduled. As the senior doctors that
00:15do those things have to look after the urgent and emergency care pathways. Message to the
00:20public is the same as in previous industrial action. For emergency, life-threatening conditions,
00:28please do continue to use 999. For other conditions, use 111 and that's on the NHS app, it's online
00:34or it's by phone. A&E has been very busy in recent months, may saw record attendances
00:41in our emergency departments, but we will prioritise those services, but we will do
00:45that by moving senior doctors out of other work and that unfortunately means that we
00:50will see disruption in our routine and elective care. We will see some rescheduling of procedures
00:56and cancellations, but if you haven't heard from your hospital or healthcare provider
01:01that your appointment is being rescheduled, then please do turn up as normal because we
01:06will keep as much routine work going as possible.
