00:58whose well-known and famous titles, honors, and honors are Zun-Nur-Ain,
01:06and especially Jami-ul-Qur'an, may Allah be pleased with him.
01:13In today's short session, we will discuss the title of Ameer-ul-Mumineen, Khalifah-e-Thalith,
01:19Sayyiduna Usman-e-Ghani, may Allah be pleased with him,
01:24and his service to the Qur'an as Jami-ul-Qur'an.
01:37This is the title which is mentioned in the Friday Sermon of Hazrat Khalifah-e-Rashideen.
01:49Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani, may Allah be pleased with him,
01:52with his well-known and famous title of Jami-ul-Qur'an,
01:57is mentioned in the Friday Sermon of Hazrat Khalifah-e-Rashideen.
02:06We will discuss Jami-ul-Qur'an and Jami-ul-Qur'an in three stages.
02:14We will discuss the service of Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani to the Qur'an as Jami-ul-Qur'an.
02:36The first stage is that the title of Jami-ul-Qur'an should be remembered
02:44that in reality, Jami-ul-Qur'an is Allah, the Lord of Glory.
02:54In Surah Al-Qiyamah, Allah, the Lord of Glory,
02:58addresses Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him,
03:01and says,
03:05Indeed, it is incumbent upon Us to gather this Holy Qur'an and make it read
03:13in the purest heart and blessed chest of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him,
03:20and to publish it in the blessed tongue.

03:31In this regard, Jami-ul-Qur'an is Allah, the Lord of Glory.

06:29Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq agreed,

06:33chose Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit, may Allah be pleased with him,

06:41both of them together,
06:43in the blessed era of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him,
06:46compiled the Holy Qur'an in a book form,

06:55The third and the last stage of this,
06:58is in the blessed era of Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani, may Allah be pleased with him,
07:02and in his blessed era,
07:05with reference to this Jamul Qur'an,
07:07what work has he done,
07:09what is the order of it,
07:11and how did he gather the Ummah on a language of the Quraish,
07:18by eliminating the differences in the languages of the Qur'an,
07:24and by gathering the Ummah on a language of the Quraish,
07:27and then the different dialects of the Quraish,
07:30which are still permissible today,
07:32which are called the Qiraat-e-Sabah Mutawatira,
07:36upon this, these companions of the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him,
07:40with the gathering of the Ummah,
07:42Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani, may Allah be pleased with him,
07:45has done this work,
07:47which we will discuss in detail in the future.
07:51Let us briefly discuss the first stage,
07:54that the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him,
07:56in the blessed era of the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him,
08:00Imam Zarqani, in his first volume, says,
08:06When the verse of the Holy Qur'an was revealed,
08:08the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him,

08:12that write this Surah at such and such place,
08:15after such and such verse,
08:17and before such and such verse.
08:19This is the writing,

08:27himself said with his command.
08:29And Imam Zarqani says,
08:31that according to the same command of the Prophet,
08:33on the stalks of dates,
08:35on the stones,
08:37on the skins,
08:39on the leather,
08:41on the broad bones,
08:43on the camels,
08:45and on the broad bones,
08:47on the broad bones of the goat,
08:49the Companions used to write to themselves,
08:52and used to write to the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him.
08:55This is the first stage,
08:57of the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him,
08:59himself in his blessed era,
09:01I have presented only one example,
09:03in your service.
09:05The Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him,
09:07used to make complete arrangements,
09:09for the writing of the Holy Quran,
09:11for the writing of the Holy Quran,
09:13for the recitation of the Holy Quran.
09:15He used to remind the writers of the revelation,
09:17and used to make them write.
09:19Not only did he make them write,
09:21but the way of writing the letters,
09:23the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him,
09:25used to teach them.
09:27And then, in the Surahs of the Holy Quran,
09:29and in the Surahs of the Holy Quran,
09:31the arrangement of the verses of the Holy Quran,
09:33which is in front of the Ummah today,
09:35and the whole Ummah,
09:37with the arrangement,
09:39of the recitation of the Holy Quran,
09:41the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with him,
09:43himself in his blessed era,
09:45in his blessed life,
09:47used to remind the Companions,
09:49and the Companions,
09:51the wives of the Prophet,

13:39memorizers of the Quran,
13:41the Qura'an of the memorizers of the Quran
13:43and the Qura'an of the Qura'an readers
13:45and the Qura'an readers
13:47will be reduced.
13:49So, I think that you should

13:53collect the Qura'an in a book.

19:18And upon writing and remembering it, he should have two witnesses.
19:23This arrangement was made by Hazrat Umar Farooq and Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit.
19:40And it is narrated that Hazrat Umar Farooq sat at the door of Masjid Nabawi Sharif.
19:46Whoever has the part of the Holy Qur'an written in his memory should bring it to the mosque.
19:51And he should have two witnesses.
19:54The witnesses should have written it in the presence of Prophet Muhammad.
20:00And he should have remembered Prophet Muhammad.
20:04He should have read it out loud.
20:06And he should have brought two companions with him.
20:12And Hazrat Umar Farooq should have accepted it.
20:14Whoever has the part of the Holy Qur'an written in his memory should bring it to Masjid Nabawi Sharif.
20:25And in this, Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit,
20:29Now I will add the part of the Holy Qur'an written in his memory.
20:33The condition was that he should have two witnesses.
20:36The two witnesses should testify that it was written in the presence of Prophet Muhammad.
20:42It was written in the presence of Prophet Muhammad.
20:44Hazrat Khuzaimah is a companion of Prophet Muhammad.
20:48In the last verses of Surah Al-Bara'at,
21:07Hazrat Khuzaimah brought these two verses alone.
21:11She did not have a witness.
21:15Hazrat Umar asked for a witness.
21:20He said, I have my own written witness.
21:24But Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit said,
21:28When Hazrat Khuzaimah brought the last verses of Surah Al-Bara'at,
21:34we accepted the two verses of Surah Al-Bara'at written by Hazrat Khuzaimah alone.
21:43The reason for this is a detailed incident.
21:46I will not go into the details of this incident.
21:50Prophet Muhammad made a deal.
21:52He bought a thing.
21:54After buying the thing, the Jew rejected it.
21:57When Prophet Muhammad came to give it back, he rejected it.
22:02He said, I have not sold it.
22:04When Prophet Muhammad said, you have sold it.
22:08The Jew said, bring a witness to this deal.
22:13When this deal was made,
22:17there was no other witness.
22:21Hazrat Khuzaimah was with him.
22:24He came later.
22:27When he heard the matter, he said,
22:29O Messenger of Allah!
22:31I give a witness that you have bought this thing and you have brought this material.
22:37The witness was accepted.
22:40Prophet Muhammad asked Hazrat Khuzaimah,
22:43When this agreement was made,
22:46you were not there.
22:48How did you give a witness?
22:50Hazrat Khuzaimah answered with faith.
22:53Until the Day of Judgment,
22:54the companions of Prophet Muhammad,
22:57love for Prophet Muhammad,
22:59will be written in golden letters.
23:03He said, O Messenger of Allah!
23:05I give a witness that you are one with Allah.
23:08I give a witness that you are His worshipper.
23:10I give a witness that you are the revelation of Quran.
23:12Prophet Muhammad said,
23:14I believe it to be true.
23:16I accept that you are truthful and trustworthy.
23:18Prophet Muhammad said, I accept it.
23:19Prophet Muhammad said,
23:21When we are accepting the Quran,
23:23the promise of Allah,
23:25and all other things,
23:27when you said that I have bought this thing,
23:30O Messenger of Allah!
23:32This is enough for me.
23:34I give a witness that you are His worshipper.
23:36Prophet Muhammad was happy.
23:38And he gave such a great honor to Hazrat Khuzaimah,
23:43which no one among the companions of Prophet Muhammad has.
23:47Prophet Muhammad said,
23:49I give a witness that you are His worshipper.
23:51I give a witness that you are His worshipper.
23:53In the case where Hazrat Khuzaimah gives a witness,
23:56where two witnesses are needed,
23:58and my Hazrat Khuzaimah is equal to two,
24:02this one witness is enough.
24:04Allah Akbar!
24:06That great background,
24:08that honor of Hazrat Khuzaimah,
24:10that she is equal to two,
24:12was declared first.
24:14On the basis of that,
24:16Hazrat Umar Farooq and Hazrat Khuzaimah
24:19and Hazrat Zaid bin Thabit, may Allah be pleased with them,
24:22included the last two verses of Surah Al-Bara'at.
24:26And this is how the Qur'an was compiled
24:29in the Daur-e-Siddiq-e-Akbar, may Allah be pleased with them.
24:31Then it was compiled
24:33and the rest of it was distributed in different ways.
24:38And keeping all of them in view,
24:40a copy of the Qur'an,
24:42with the same order,
24:44with the order of recitation,
24:46with the order of Surahs,
24:49with the order of the verses,
24:51and after the compilation of the complete copy,
24:54with the protection of the Daur-e-Siddiq-e-Akbar,
24:56may Allah be pleased with him,
24:58was with him.
25:00Then after him,
25:02Hazrat Umar Farooq, may Allah be pleased with him,
25:04was with him.
25:06In his house,
25:08the Prophet's wife,
25:10Hazrat Hafsa, may Allah be pleased with her,
25:12was with him.
25:14This is the second stage.
25:17After the Prophet,
25:19in the Daur-e-Siddiq-e-Akbar,
25:21may Allah be pleased with him,
25:23in the Ahad-e-Siddiqi,
25:25the compilation of the Qur'an.
25:27Now we will talk further
25:29about Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani,
25:31may Allah be pleased with him,
25:33in his Daur-e-Mubarak,
25:35the compilation of the Qur'an.
25:37After all of this,
25:39the Qur'an was written in the time of the Prophet,
25:41I remember it verbally.
25:43In the Daur-e-Mubarak of Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani,

25:53in the Daur-e-Siddiq-e-Akbar,

25:57and then Hazrat Sayyid-e-Hafsa,

26:01were kept safe.
26:03Now comes the third stage,
26:05the Daur-e-Mubarak of Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani,
26:07and what happened in this Daur-e-Mubarak?

26:11what is the work of Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani,
26:13in this Daur-e-Mubarak?

26:39is expanding,

26:43it has expanded so much
26:45that
26:46the Companions of the Prophet, peace be upon him,
26:49are busy in various places,
26:51far and wide,
26:53in conquests,
26:55and in spreading the greatness of Islam.
26:58Hazrat Huzaifa bin Yaman,
27:00may Allah be pleased with him,
27:02is a Companion of the Prophet.
27:04In the Daur-e-Usman,
27:06he has reached Armenia and Azerbaijan.
27:09Now,
27:11listen to what happened.
27:13Huzoor,
27:14Syed-e-Ala Hazrat Azeem-ul-Murtabat,
27:18has
27:20explained
27:22this in the following way.
27:24Huzoor says that
27:29in Arabia,
27:31apart from the Holy Quran,
27:33the languages they spoke,
27:35were different.
27:38The tribes and different tribes
27:41in which they spoke,
27:42were different from each other.
27:45And in that,
27:47the difference between the letters,
27:49the words,
27:51and the letters was clear.

28:58Some tribes used to pronounce

29:02The letter Golta
29:04in Rahmatun
29:06was pronounced as Ha
29:08or Ta.
29:10Some tribes used to pronounce
29:12Ba with Sikoon
29:14Some tribes used to pronounce
29:16Marfoo and Majroor
29:18with Sila.
29:20Some tribes used to pronounce
29:22Haraqat-e-Muwafaqa
29:24with Kanaat.
29:26There were many
29:28different styles
29:30and dialects.
29:32In other words,
29:34in Arab,
29:36their own language
29:38was
29:40spoken.
29:42These differences
29:44were present
29:46in other tribes.
29:48The Qur'an
29:50was revealed
29:52in the Quraish language.
29:54However,
29:56Prophet Muhammad
29:58revealed the Qur'an
30:00in the Arabic language.
30:02Imam Bukhari
30:04has mentioned
30:06this Hadith.
30:08He says that
30:10when Prophet Muhammad
30:12taught the Qur'an,
30:14he said that
30:16it would be difficult
30:18to read the Qur'an
30:20in other languages.
30:22In fact,
30:24Prophet Muhammad
30:26said that
30:28it would be difficult
30:30to read the Qur'an
30:32in seven languages.

30:38the differences
30:40between Arabic and
30:42Arabic,
30:44I will tell you

30:50He says that
30:52when he went to

30:56to pray,
30:58he was praying in

31:37He said that
31:39he wanted to
31:41read the Qur'an
31:43in another language
31:45which he did

32:03did not
32:05know.
32:07If the Ummah
32:09is not
32:11united on
32:13one language,
32:15then the Qur'an
32:17is full of
32:19arguments.

32:57to read
32:59the Qur'an
33:01in other
33:03languages
33:05and to
33:07verify
33:09what
33:11was
33:12written
33:14and
33:16read.

34:01that the
34:02Quraysh
34:04have different
34:06dialects
34:08and
34:10the Qur'an
34:12has spent
34:14its life
34:16to serve
34:18the Qur'an.
34:20Then
34:22Hazrat Usman

34:28the Qur'an
34:30according to
34:32the different
34:34dialects
34:36of the Qur'an
34:38in different
34:40places
34:42in Egypt,
34:44Mecca,
34:46and Medina
34:48so that
34:50whoever wants
34:52to verify
34:54the Qur'an
34:56can do so.
34:58This is how
34:59Hazrat Usman

35:05the entire Ummah
35:07together
35:09with the Qur'an
35:11in the Quraysh
35:13language
35:15and in the Qur'an.

35:28in the Quraysh language
35:30which was
35:32written by
35:34Hazrat Abu Bakr
35:36and written
35:38by the Prophet.
35:40The Ummah
35:42remembers
35:44and performs
35:46its duty
35:48and it reads
35:50and recites
35:52with the same
35:54sequence
35:56upon him with all the differences,
35:59whose excellence, along with all the other Companions,
36:02Moula-e-Kainat, Ali-ul-Murtaza, the Poet of God,
36:05may Allah be pleased with him and grant him a generous face.
36:07He has also said, because of this achievement,
36:11because of this great service,
36:13which was done for the Ummah by
36:15Janab-e-Syedna Usman-e-Ghani, may Allah be pleased with him and grant him a generous face,
36:18because of this, his special title,
36:21especially for him, as Jamia-ul-Quran,
36:25is mentioned with such grandeur and glory.
36:28Certainly, the recitation of the Quran,
36:30the recitation of the letters of the Quran,
36:32the recitation of the words of the Quran,
36:34all that will be done till the Day of Judgment,
36:36each and every letter of it,
36:38in the form of ten good deeds,
36:40where everyone else will get,
36:42much more than that,
36:44Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani, may Allah be pleased with him and grant him a generous face,
36:46will be presented at his service.
36:48Allah was pleased with him,
36:50he was pleased with Allah.
