How can we share children’s milestones safely on social media?

00:09 While we all love a cute baby pic, experts ask us to be cautious before clicking post.

00:16 How much is recognisable in the photograph? Are you giving clues around your child's age,

00:23 where they live, what they're doing, who's in their family?

00:26 The second thing that I would encourage families to think about is how the child feels about that

00:31 image. Is it something that gives them joy? Is it something that embarrasses them? And then how

00:36 might they feel about that image down the track in five years, in 10 years, and so on.

00:42 And the third thing I really encourage families to think about is who has access to those images.

00:47 So have a look at the privacy settings in the online applications that you're using

00:52 and make sure you're comfortable with who's going to be able to access those.
