00:04Police are appealing for information after a man exposed himself to a female cyclist

00:08in Chesterfield.

00:10The incident happened at around 6.15am on Tuesday June 4th, when a woman was cycling

00:15along the Trans Pennine Way off Bamford Road in Incasul.

00:19She saw a man in the distance who then exposed himself.

00:22The man is described as white with thinning grey hair and was wearing a t-shirt with a

00:26gilet and long shorts.

00:28He had a dark coloured greyhound type dog with him.

00:31The man was blocking the cyclist's path and she had to say excuse me in order to pass

00:35him.

00:36Inspector for Chesterfield Local Policing Unit Cara Simpson said,

00:39I would like to reassure the public that we are treating this as an isolated incident

00:43but will be increasing patrols in the area to ensure that those visiting the trail feel

00:48safe and comfortable.

00:49We take all reports of this nature seriously and urge anyone with information or who witnessed

00:54the incident to come forward so that we can identify this man.

01:00Plans for a new bar inside a prominent building in Chesterfield have been given the green

01:04light.

01:05The Borough Council has given change of use consent for bank chambers on Stephenson Place.

01:10Permission for internal alterations and the replacement of a window with a door to service

01:14an emergency exit on Cavenger Street have been granted.

01:17Formerly the home of the Royal Bank of Scotland, who took it over from Williams and Glynns

01:21Bank, the building has been empty for two years.

01:24The property was built in 1907 and is regarded as a fine example of Edwardian architecture.

01:30Commenting on the plan, Chesterfield Civic Society said,

01:33We are very pleased to see this listed building being brought back into use in a way that

01:37safeguards its features.

01:39The application for the change of use was submitted by David Gain on behalf of DAT Bars.
