00:00 Hello, this is John and Michael Timmins from Townfield Care.
00:03 We run Ribble Valley Care Home down at Soli.
00:06 We've just spent over £2 million investing and renovating the home
00:10 and providing a fantastic level of care to the local community.
00:13 As a family business, we've been involved in care for over 30 years.
00:17 We bought the business off my mum.
00:18 For the last 15 years, we've obviously expanded on the business
00:21 and obviously now we're opening Ribble Valley Care Home today.
00:23 We're proud to take care of more than one ex-footballer here as dementia specialists
00:28 and that's why we've invited Gary Neville down for the official launch today
00:32 so he can see what we've achieved for our community.
00:34 Very nice.
00:35 Yeah.
00:36 How are we?
00:37 Oh, it is nice, isn't it?
00:38 Yeah.
00:39 Wow.
00:40 You've spent a fortune on it, haven't you?
00:42 Yeah, I have.
00:43 [Laughter]
00:45 Well, Gary Neville here at the Townfield Care, Ribble Valley.
00:49 I know the work that Michael and John and the family have put into this
00:52 and the team over a couple of years.
00:54 It's been a labour of love.
00:55 It's taken a lot of hard work to get this care home into the condition it currently is
01:00 and the passion that he has for delivering the services.
01:03 I think over the last 10 years, football players have become very aware
01:07 of the risk of dementia and the way in which dementia has affected so many who've played the game.
01:12 I know that Michael has and John a couple of ex-football players within this care home.
01:18 It is heartening to know that there is good facilities and good care available for people, obviously.
01:24 Football is a community like anything else and this is a critical facility
01:28 in delivering services that is much needed, not just to football players
01:31 but to people in the north-northwest of England.
01:34 So, well done to Michael, well done to John, well done to all the team here who deliver the services.
01:39 They've done a great job and it's the first time I've been
01:41 and I'm blown away by the standards that I've seen inside.
01:46 Thank you very much for inviting me today, Michael.
01:49 It's a privilege.
01:50 I know the work that you've all put into this.
01:52 To you and the team that deliver the services here, it's amazing.
01:55 Well done.
01:56 [Cheering]
01:57 [Applause]
01:58 There we go, brilliant.
02:02 Big day.
02:03 Put these down.
02:04 [Laughter]
02:05 [Music]
