00:00 Hello there, welcome to your latest Met Office forecast. As we go through the next few days
00:05 we are starting to see high pressure begin to move in across the country. So something
00:09 a little bit more drier and settled than what we have been used to of late. The very far
00:15 north of Scotland and maybe at times Northern Ireland will continue to see a few weather
00:19 fronts from time to time. So a risk of a little bit of rain here, but really for most of us
00:23 as we go through the second half of this week it is largely dry and settled. Towards the
00:28 end of the week we will start to see the winds come in from more of a southerly direction.
00:32 So temperatures will be on the rise, potentially up to 23 or 24 degrees across the south come
00:38 Friday and Saturday. So back to the here and now, this Tuesday morning. A fairly grey picture
00:45 across many parts of the country. Exceptions down towards the south coast, some sunny spells
00:49 here, some sunshine initially for Northern Ireland but it will cloud up here as the day
00:53 goes on. And also the far north of Scotland not doing too badly with some spells of sunshine.
00:58 The cloud will be thick enough, especially across Scotland, the far north of England
01:02 to produce some spots of rain. And then further south we may well just see a few showers develop,
01:07 but for most of the UK it is a much drier picture than it was on Monday. Temperature
01:13 wise in the sunshine, highs reaching 19, possibly 20 degrees, but stuck under the cloud, especially
01:19 for eastern Scotland, northeastern England feeling quite chilly, especially along the
01:24 coastlines. Into this evening, continue to see some cloud and some patchy rain for Scotland.
01:29 Elsewhere a mixture of clear spells, but then we will see some low cloud and some mist develop.
01:35 So under the cloud and mist, a fairly mild night, temperatures not falling much lower
01:39 than 8 to 10 degrees. But where we do see some clear skies, especially across parts
01:43 of Wales, south west England, here a bit of a chilly start on Wednesday. But here we will
01:48 see some sunshine from the word go. Elsewhere a bit of a murky start, but I'm optimistic
01:53 as the morning goes on, the mist and low cloud will begin to burn away and come the afternoon
01:58 actually for a lot of the UK. It's a fairly decent day, exceptions the far west of Scotland,
02:04 maybe the far north west of Northern Ireland too. Here we will see weather fronts try to
02:08 move in and give in some spells of rain here from time to time. But elsewhere in the sunshine,
02:14 feeling pleasantly warm, again highs potentially up to 20 or 21 degrees. A quick look at Thursday,
02:21 a very similar picture for a lot of the UK. It's dry with some sunny spells, exceptions
02:26 really Scotland. We continue to see the risk of some weather fronts just moving through
02:30 from time to time. So more in the way of cloud here with some spots of rain, limiting temperatures
02:34 here to about 18 to 19 degrees at best. Elsewhere, definitely into the low 20s, potentially up
02:41 to 22 across the southern half of the UK. And that warm trend will continue as we go
02:46 into Friday and Saturday. But you can find out more about the weather where you are on
