00:00 Well, congratulations. What is it like to finally be able to put this film out there into the world?
00:04 Very exciting. Very exciting. We've worked on it for a long time. We're really proud of it.
00:08 We had a great time making the movie.
00:11 And it plays really well in front of an audience, in front of people.
00:15 So we're excited to let the whole world hopefully see and enjoy the film.
00:20 What would you say makes Anne and Nicholas the perfect leads for this movie?
00:24 They're both very genuine people and I think that comes through.
00:30 There's an authenticity to their performances. You see two real human souls up there.
00:36 And we tried to tell a story about two people and make you really believe that these people are real
00:45 and having these experiences. And I think Anne and Nick both portray that beautifully.
00:49 Anne had previously talked about how Nicholas nailed the chemistry read.
00:53 And you were in that room too. So what was it that you saw that made you go, "Okay, that's our guy"?
00:58 He's confident. He's confident, but he's not cocky.
01:03 He's funny. He's charming. He's great looking. He's a great musician. He's a great actor.
01:10 But he's also very open and he's very nimble.
01:12 And so all of those qualities together, we could just tell they would be a great pair.
01:17 I know a lot of people have been making comparisons between Hayes Campbell and Harry Styles.
01:21 What do you make of all those comparisons?
01:23 I think there's comparisons there to be made. There's comparisons with lots of public figures.
01:28 But I think Hayes touches a nerve. There's a feeling about this character and these two characters
01:35 that I feel like is something that's very current in our society right now,
01:38 whether it's Harry Styles or a whole bunch of other interesting public figures that we could mention.
01:43 And I just think that's part of what's great about this story. It certainly drew me in.
01:48 And finally, I know everyone has a version of August Moon for themselves.
01:51 Who is that for you? Who is a band or an artist?
01:54 For me, it's a new edition. Yes, Candy Girl.
01:57 Candy girl, you're on my world. I need your lovin' each and every day.
02:06 Okay, so that's mine. Yes.
02:08 Amazing. And that was your inspiration, I'd say.
02:10 And everyone do that on stage for August Moon, right?
02:13 Absolutely. Yes.
