00:00Congratulations on this film. I have to say you had a really emotional reaction
00:03to screening this film
00:04at South by Southwest. Why was this a story that you're really excited to tell?
00:08Well, I was emotional for a couple reasons. One was just
00:12knowing that this is one of my first streaming movies
00:16and so I just knew how special it was to get to see it with an audience because
00:18that wouldn't be
00:20the path that this movie was gonna take. So it just felt really exciting to
00:23actually receive the love from an audience because
00:26you know when it comes out, I hope the whole world enjoys it
00:30and it's just going to be different. So that was some of it. It was just being really present in my
00:32gratitude
00:33that we got to have that experience as well as a huge worldwide streaming
00:37release.
00:38So, also I just... I was in a film when I was 17 years old called The Princess
00:44Diaries. It came out when I was 18
00:46and the premiere of the movie felt so much like the premiere for this one.
00:52Oh God, don't cry again. Don't do it. You're making me tear up.
00:56Oh my gosh. And when I was 18 years old, it was my first premiere so I just thought that was
01:00the way it works
01:01and it can go so well but that level
01:04of just instant audience love and embracing of it and feeling
01:08I don't know, that audience satisfaction. You don't get that every single time.
01:12Sometimes movies are darker. Sometimes movies are more challenging.
01:15This one is... we really made it for everyone and to just feel everyone love it.
01:20I hadn't had that feeling quite in that same way since Princess Diaries.
01:23And now I'm 41 and I know how to appreciate it. And you're already seeing that
01:27reaction tonight so thank you again for stopping by.
