Lady Aethelflaed and the Battle of Tecknall and Wensfield 910 AD happened a
00:12
thousand years ago and a group of us who've been designing a tourist
00:17
attraction of this great battle will be walking along the canal on the 1st of
00:23
June. We're going to meet at 1 p.m. at the Nickelodeon pub in Bentley Bridge,
00:28
arrive at St. Peter's about 2ish. We're going to have some mead and medieval
00:35
bread and discuss and then walk along the canal all the way to Smesto Valley
00:39
and see the plaque there. Along the way there'll be people discussing the
00:45
history, the tourist attraction, what people have done in Wolverhampton over
00:51
the years and every now and then a Viking will jump out on us with horns to
00:55
give us some mead if we wish and it's going to be lots of fun and we've been
01:00
working on this project for six months and there's six months to go and then
01:04
we're halfway through and we invite everyone to come along and join in the
01:08
fun.
