Canal walk on 1st June to mark the battle of Tettenhall and Wednesfield in 910AD when Anglo saxons fought off the Vikings .

00:00Lady Aethelflaed and the Battle of Tecknall and Wensfield 910 AD happened a

00:12thousand years ago and a group of us who've been designing a tourist

00:17attraction of this great battle will be walking along the canal on the 1st of

00:23June. We're going to meet at 1 p.m. at the Nickelodeon pub in Bentley Bridge,

00:28arrive at St. Peter's about 2ish. We're going to have some mead and medieval

00:35bread and discuss and then walk along the canal all the way to Smesto Valley

00:39and see the plaque there. Along the way there'll be people discussing the

00:45history, the tourist attraction, what people have done in Wolverhampton over

00:51the years and every now and then a Viking will jump out on us with horns to

00:55give us some mead if we wish and it's going to be lots of fun and we've been

01:00working on this project for six months and there's six months to go and then

01:04we're halfway through and we invite everyone to come along and join in the

01:08fun.
