00:00 Welcome back.
00:13 New Russia authorities have evacuated over 2,800 people in several regions of the country
00:18 because of overflowing of Tobol river.
00:21 The Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations said Tobol river water level has reached 970
00:26 centimeters above the danger line in central Kurgan region and that water level keeps rising.
00:31 In fact, experts say according to forecasts, the river will continue to increase its water
00:35 volume until it reaches its maximum level in the next two to three days.
00:40 Authorities say emergency workers are reinforcing the structure of the Kurgan dam while they
00:44 continue to evacuate civilians in areas that could be affected by new floods.
00:49 On the other hand, in Mali, on Saturday, health authorities stressed that the exceptional heat
00:54 wave hit in the country with temperatures above 45 degrees Celsius has caused dozens
00:59 of deaths.
01:00 In this regard, Dr. Ibrahim Faux, director of a health center in the city, pointed out
01:04 that there is a very high mortality rate related to dehydration and fever.
01:09 The deadly hot weather has affected Mali and Burkina Faso in the month of April with temperatures
01:14 above 45 degrees Celsius.
01:16 On the other hand, climate models show that heat waves of this magnitude observed in the
01:20 region in March and April 2024 would be impossible without the 1.2 degrees centigrade of global
01:26 warming recorded to date with scientists' attributes to human-induced climate change.
01:35 Meanwhile in the United Arab Emirates, local media highlighted a flooding in the city of
01:39 Sharjah following the heaviest rains ever recorded in the country.
01:43 In this sense, the local authorities ensure the deployment of volunteers to provide food,
01:47 water and medical assistance to the citizens residing in the community.
01:51 The storms hit the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain after hitting Oman, where 18 people
01:56 were killed, including several children.
01:59 Should be noted that an environmental report stated that the climate of the United Arab
02:02 Emirates had warmed by 0.4 degrees, meanwhile assuring a major increase in average annual
02:08 precipitations in the southern part of the Arab Peninsula.
