The M25 is set to see planned closures again in May. It’s expected to cause major disruption.

00:00 A section of the M25 in Surrey will be closed for the second full weekend this year, with
00:06 details of diversion routes announced. The motorway will be shut between junction 9 at
00:11 the A243 Leatherhead and 10 A3 Wisley from 9pm Friday May 10th to 6am Monday May 13th.
00:21 This closure is for the installation for a new bridge consisting of 68 beams, each weighing
00:27 16 tonnes and another 4 beams weighing 40 tonnes. It's part of a £317 million improvement
00:35 project to increase the number of lanes to make it easier to enter and exit the M25 at
00:41 junction 10. A 5 mile stretch of motorway between junction 11 in Chertsey and junction
00:48 12 with the A3 was closed between March 15th to 18th. This was the first ever planned daytime
00:55 closure on the M25 since it opened in 1986.
